Proposed Outing
I'm proposing an outing. It's Man Utd vs Chelsea (Champions League Final). Never did we watched a single soccer match together before, so let's make history now. Be it you are a soccer fanatic, join us.
Meeting Details Date: 22nd May 2008 Venue: Plaza Singapura Time: 12am Things we can do while waiting for the match 1. Watch a movie. 2. Play pool. 3. Go drinking 4. Supper 5. NOTHING! Match Details Date: 22nd May 2008 Time: 2.30am to 5am (if there's extra time or even penalty shootout, the whole match would be possibly be dragged till 6am) Teams: Man Utd VS Chelsea Compeition: Champions League Final Match Watching Details Venue: The Alps Cafe (http://www.alpscafe-sg.com/) Location: Prinsep Street (Opposite Paradiz Centre) As it's a weekday, i've planned to meet before the last bus, therefore, that explains that we have to meet at that time. Can't possibily meet after 12am, less those who's driving of course. And again, as it's a weekday, there's no NightRider but perhaps Taxi all around. Another thing to note, i might want to reach there say, 2am in order to ensure we have seats! You won't want to search for a place when the match has started, at the very least, that's what i hate and don't want to happen because my team's there playing and yet i'm not watching? Last thing to note, if we were to watch a movie, i would suggest meeting earlier so that it won't eat into our intended match watching time. TAG YOUR ATTENDANCE AT YOUR TAGBOARD AND THOSE WHOSE NAME ARE BEING TAGGED, CAN SHUXIA OR PENG (FREQUENT MIXED RICE VISITOR) HELP TO POST IT BELOW HERE. MANY THANKS. 1. Kelvin To Peeps interested in betting, what's more exciting than watching a match when you know you have place a bet on it. I'll be helping you guys to place the precious bet. Hope you HUAT (provided you are at loggerheads with me). Below odds are as of 12.04pm, 18 May 2008. For the updated current odds, go to (http://www.singaporepools.com.sg/Sports?page=display_details&type=all&match=0501). Call/sms and let me know what you want to bet. Many thanks. By either this evening or tommorrow afternoon please. Proposed Sincerly by, F&B Director

CYCLING ROUTE
after studying route other ppl take and our requirements and also playing with google earth (its really fun) and street directory. i roughly came up with a route, hopfully all these careful planing will lead to a smooth trip and not : " WTF we are suppose to be on that flyover, how come we are under it, now how." there will be lots of urban roads, which i reckon most comes with walking path, in the case theres no urban path, we will have to ride on the road itself. In such conditions we have to be extremely cautious about traffic around us. even though it will be late in the night, the area we are going are quite famous for NITE ACTIVITY*cough geylang* so i expect huge traffic in that area, both human n vehicle. in such conjested area, we will follow traffic flow and rules. In the event of unexpected route diversion, eg. nicoll highway collapse. if we are not hurt or aniting, we will contact authority and remain calm. Jking, route diversion as in the road doesnt link, den we will take a break, examine the map n figure a way out :D. so much for crapping i present to you: *with special thanks to xia for tediously jion all the different map parts with photoshop OPERATIONAL TOO WILL ROUTE Google earth version with REALISTIC blueprint! Street directory version with all the detail rd pls read on http://www.cptips.com/sadsore.htm * SADDLE SORES COULD BE RELATED TO IMPOTENCY!!! ani1 have lubricant? :D prevention is better den cure -This post is by Delon
Opening Your Luggage the Unconventional Way
Someone happened to send me this video on how to open your luggage if you lose your keys, and it really scares me how easy it is to do so. Now I know why people (like my relatives) complain of missing items when traveling, despite taking extra efforts to lock up their luggages. If any of you are going to buy new luggages, I'll strongly advise you to get those hard covered ones when extra lock (both the conventional lock and numerical lock). Otherwise, hand carry all valuables and important documents (like Rolex, LV, Gucci, PSP, Lappie, MP3). Yours Truly, Mildred Labels: Travel

I was looking around for demonstration of the mambo dance moves that are made famous in zouk and this is one of them I have seen.
Super lame especially with that paper bag over the head. Guess the only place we can learn is to go for more mambo sessions! And all drinks are 1 for 1 before 12. peng

Bangkok Itinerary
PHEW! I finally finished planning the bangkok itnerary. So much more challenging than Phuket because there's so many different opening hours, opening days etc to look out for. Basically I have covered almost all the places that most people recommended. At least I tried to.
Kel, if you don't mind and think the planning is fine, you may also want to follow my humble itinerary by just playing around with the days to fit your flight :) FRESH FROM THE OVEN : Mixed Rice Bangkok Itinerary Have sent a copy of this to your emails as well. I am still compiling the information on all the specific places and locations, that one needs a lot more work because I still have 2 and half more fourms to refer to (with 200+ pages in each of them, -_-). But at least the most important itinerary is out already! =) Do feel free to feedback if you feel that there should be changes made, Thank yous all. Planning all these makes me itch to just fly now. pat on the back, xia Labels: Travel

Sads, it's so hard to plan an outing with full attendance. Can't wait for all you army guys to ORD. Sorry if I cannot accomodate everyone, already tried my best to plan :( DATE: 28th May 08 (WED) PLACE: 7pm at TIONG BAHRU MRT (Dinner then Zouk) Sorry for changing so many times. Confirmed Attendees: Xia, Lon, Peng and ZQ. Mil, need your reply. As for Yilin, sighs will ask again. Anyways, I'm in the midst of planning the Bangkok Itinerary. Meanwhile, if you have any places that you DIE DIE must go in BKK, say it now. ps: Layout changed! (duh.) |
