Hey guys,

Some bad news struck us today. There is now a confirmed H1N1 case in Malaysia. So now I'm not sure if we can still go for the trip. Haiz.

My opinion will be to cancel this june trip (as much as I don't want to) because it is better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully the flu epidemic will end fast.

Perhaps we can take this time to plan for a local trip. I seriously dun mind going for a overnight camp in a tent. haha we haven't do that before.

So tell me your opinions and see if we can find a replacement activity for the holidays.

Tentative Trip to Hanoi

Hey guys,

I was surfing online for Vietnam, Hanoi and I found the wikiTravel link pretty useful. Go take a look if u wanna know where is Hanoi and what can be done over there.

On top of that, I did a little search and found a hostel, Hostel Hanoi Backpacker that looks not bad. Worth taking a look. It cost approximately USD7.50 per night. There is this international membership card, Hi Hostel that cost SGD22. No idea if it will be much cheaper with the sign up of the card.

Worth checking it out ya~

Hanoi trip has been tentatively cancelled. I'm trying to get hold of a Langkawi map myself and do what i usually - analysing the map, scouting for destinations and plan the itinerary. ChoonPeng or Xia will work out the price (i think, if need help, let me know). We hope to confirm everything latest by this week. Everyone please post your free time on the tagboard preferbly, so that we can discuss one last time on Langkawi (don't change destination le, if not, forever cannot travel), before booking.

I supposethe travelling dates fixed at 25th Jun to 28th Jun, 4 Days and 3 Nights.

ZQ, please apply your whatever leave ASAP please.

For those who missed the conference call (zq, don't be late next time!) and the msn chat, here're the minutes from the discussion.

1) June Sun-Sea-Sand Trip

Confirmed Location: Tioman / Langkawi
Dates (after long debates) : 25th - 27th June (Thurs - Sat) or 25th - 28th for Langkawi
Budget: $150 - $200

Confirmed attendance: Xia, Lon, Kel, Mil and ZQ.
Pending: Yilin, Peng, Yaolong

Issues to be settled before booking: Renewal of Passport, Application of leave.

2) Next Meetup

Date: 8th May (Friday)
Time: 7.30pm City Hall
Activity: Dinner then KTV at Chinatown $10 KTV from 10pm to 1am (booked)

Confirmed attendance: Xia, Lon, Kel, Mil, Mel, Peng and ZQ.
Mil will join at 11pm.
